July 2026 – Our First Dads’ Social

On 31st July, we held our first BODS Dads’ Social Evening at BabyChinno in Rhyl.

It was another big step for BODS — taking the connections we were building online and bringing dads together face-to-face in our local community.

We kept it simple: food, a quiz, a few activities, plenty of laughs and, most importantly, conversation. No pressure to talk about mental health and no expectations — just dads getting out of the house, meeting other dads and enjoying some time together.

It helped prove something we've believed from the beginning: supporting dads doesn't always have to look like a support group. Sometimes it starts with simply giving people somewhere to go and someone to talk to.

September 2026 – Stepping Outside Our Comfort Zones

On 5th September, BODS headed to Bala Lake for something a little different — a sauna and cold-water plunge with Niku-Naku.

Dads travelled together by minibus for a morning focused on getting outdoors, trying something new and spending time together away from the pressures of everyday life.

There were plenty of laughs, some very cold faces and a few moments of questioning whose idea the cold plunge actually was! But underneath it all was exactly what BODS is about — connection, conversation and shared experiences.

The day was made possible with support from The National Lottery Community Fund, allowing us to offer the experience free to the dads who came along.

It showed us that bringing dads together doesn't always need to happen around a table. Sometimes the best conversations happen when you're doing something completely different together.

Another experience shared. More friendships made. More memories for BODS. 💙
